I assume you don't have a job yet..once you extend the OPT for 17 months you gonna have to pay tax at the end of the year and you have 3 months to find a legit job and if u don't find one you are "out of status"... Hope that helps. axl

Axl, please don't disappoint anybody if you don't have the answer OCT101, you still have the time, there is a consultancy in dallas area from where you can extend the Extend your OPT. I think the name is "Verisoft" but I am not quite really sure. There are some other consultancy which you can find in desicrunch.com. Yes, you have to pay tax once you extend the OPT but you shouldn't worry about that coz you have to pay only minimum tax which they will manage it. Best of Luck

I did try sulekha.com, no luck, their answer are, no, confusing or they ask for personal reference, i'm ready to pay for training, comon guys need reference to consultancy, help will be appreciate.
