 Applying for F-1 visa before going to graduate school

Hi friends, I appreciate your inputs in the following matter:

My visa has expired and am currently in my OPT period. I am going to a grad school in August and already have been accepted. Between my OPT end date and school start date I am thinking about going to Nepal and apply for F-1 visa. If anyone has done this with or without success please share with us your inputs. I m sure a lot will benefit from this.
