I have applied I-485 for my parents and today I received I-693 deficiency notice. I have heard there will be no interview. Does anybody have an idea and when should I send i693 to USCIS?

Why do u want to delay things? Make a cover letter and send it all. Even though they did not have a whole lot of new applications, they could be backlogged cuz of shutdown. Make sure with doctors about flu vaccines for this year, since you are really close.
