Very well said greenzerk. Thanks for posting their credentials, very very impressive. I have to say, if we still chose to vote for the old leaders and not support these candidates, then nothing can rescue us from our plight.

They sound like great candidates but I think there are too many independent candidates this time so it might diversify the votes instead of having one strong candidate to beat the old politicians.

Yes, indeed its true. Instead of bitching on ourselves and bitching towards the leaders, atleast we can help them from our side; whatever we can. Lets share through our social media to let the people know who are blind about this subject matter. And please I am not affiliated with this party, I am just appreciating their work which they are doing for the country. I am just sick of seeing same person who is still standing on the election whom I heard the name since I was 10 yrs old.

Shahi baba Your point is right, but I doubt they are running definitely to win this election. It'd be nice if they win, we will have a true youth representation in CA; one that is not affiliated to age old "bidyarthi union" and garbage like that (I really think students shouldn't be involved in any kind of political parties while they are studying). Part of it has to be to raise awareness, to show that youth of the nation has something to say beyond the confinement of political parties. Today they are novice, tomorrow they might be a legit threat. If we get them enough votes, they will be taken seriously even if they don't win. Winning would be nice, but a good portion of vote will be pretty good as well.

Shahi baba,
Your point is right. We had to register as independent because we were busy in "Yuwa aghi sarchha desh aghi badchha" campaign where we brought soil and plant from 14 zones of Nepal and planted as a symbol of our beginning, in Lumbini. So we could not collect 10000 signature on time.
We could have committed fraud to collect those signature like other parties usually do but we did not cause we did not want to start with the wrong doing and we just could not afford that thinking what our party cadres would think about us(You know what I mean, we don't want to loose our weight). So here we are as independent candidates.
But I would take this opportunity to focus on is what we trying to promote is the idea, citizens will listen to us if we are right at the core of our heart.
If you are confused about whether Bibeksheel will be a political party, yes definitely it will be.

For
people who do not know Ujwal Thapa, he spent some of his summers during college
in Boston. He went to school in Vermont and was a talented web designer sought
after by technology companies during the dot.com boom. Unlike many of us who
would jump at such opportunities he wanted to take the road less traveled. He
went back to Nepal and started a successful web designing company working for
the US clients using the latest technology. At it's height, his start-up had
over 50 employees, and over 20 of them learnt their trade with Ujwal and went
on to start their own IT companies. Talk about leadership, being a change agent
and a multiplier effect. He was a pioneer of the outsourcing web designing
industry in Nepal, which has many young entrepreneurs and provides employment
to hundreds of people.
Being a maverick, Ujwal did not stop there. He realized the lack of support and
networks for young entrepreneurs and he went on to create "Entrepreneurs
for Nepal" that provides networking opportunities, support system and
mentoring for young entrepreneurs. His "Entrepreneurs for Nepal" has
over 13,000 members. Talk about his leadership and his ability to execute.
Ujwal was still not happy with his success. Like most of us, he sensed that the
country was not moving forward with the constitution and the frequent bandhs
were hampering businesses and daily lives of people. Instead of just
complaining, he started a group to pressure the politicians against bandhs and
focus on constitution. When the politicians did not listen, he and his team
decided to directly challenge them in the next election.
As you can see, Ujwal is a natural born leader. He is young, smart, hard
working and has good values like many of us. At the same time, he is funny,
down to earth and really a very regular guy like us.
I am not associated with Bibeksheel Nepal but I see a glimmer of hope for Nepal
in them. Just like how Ujwal has been a pioneer and helped create many
entrepreneurs, who in turn created hundreds of jobs, I hope his leadership in
this election will inspire other smart, young and hardworking Nepalese with
good values to join politics and turnaround Nepal and make difference for
millions of Nepalese.
Please help Bibeksheel Nepal however you can by encouraging our relatives and
friends in Nepal to vote for them or by donating.
All
the best of Ujwal and his team.
