Hello All, I'm in dire need of information regarding transit in Hong Kong. I'm a Green card holder, Do I need a visa to land in Hong Kong and change flights so I go to Nepal. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Rajiv Shrestha

I know for sure that Cathay Pacific doesn't require you to have one. Are you flying off Cathay or Singapore?

Thank you all for the information! Funtush, thanks for the links however I'm still confused because if the fact that I have 22 hrs transit time in Hong Kong and on one the links you sent me, it says only if it's within 12 hrs of arriving Hong Kong, if I leave then only I do not need transit visa. my head is ringing right now!! All the way, are you 100% sure, I don't need it? Has anyone experienced similar situation?

Based on the updated immiigration information as of sept 2014, it looks like nepalese passengers do need transit visa while in transit. Go to the following honkong's official link n scroll down where u see a table where it says visa required for nepalese passengers even on transit. http://www.immd.gov.hk/en/services/hk-visas/visit-transit/visit-visa-entry-permit.html#notes
