Has anyone applied for Canadian PR? I am thinking about applying for it but not sure where to start. I checked their website, seems like a lot of requirements. Is it mandatory to have a job offer in Canada, what is chance of approval without one? And what will be the estimated total expense?

You need to visit canada immigration forum. It has all the answers and extremely helpful members. Start with the point calculator. Google it and there are tons of them. Good luck.

I was thinking about it and is not sure whether to apply in this lot or wait for the express entry that is scheduled to start at Jan 2015. I heard that current process takes 24+ months while in the new system if you got selected it will be shortened to few months. I am confused what to do.
BTW I have a job here and is worried only if I won't get lucky in the next year's H1b lottery and I am in civil engg.

I would appreciate if anyone's some insights?
